A common saying in Hollywood is "The camera doesn't lie". Acting for film requires a subtle, honest technique. The camera follows the actor, the actor does not play to the camera. This is easier said than done!
Acting for stage offers the reward that film does not, Applause! The process is linear and requires the skills of building an emotional arc and holding the audience from moment to moment. It has staging requirements that are used on stage but not in film. Students learn all the same elements of acting, but add more specific technique.
Musical Theatre is a combination of dancing, singing, and performing.
Voice - learning to sing, range, song building and writing.
Dance - learning to move, using your body to tell a story, understanding choreography.
