Have you always wanted to learn to crochet? Then this is the class for you! Our less experienced students will practice hand and eye coordination through various yarn projects. Learn how to do simple chains, and stitches. Make fun projects with a hook or a loom, create with yarn!
Students with more experience will learn to crochet reading a pattern and will be able to make their own yarn creature or other crochet project of choice (beanie, scarf, etc.) and ability. Other Skills that will be explored are: Sewing - Learn the concepts of designing, reading manufactured patterns, cutting patterns, and machine sewing. Students will learn basic textile information to apply which fabric will work best with each project. Based on ability students may learn to hand sew, or machine sew. Embroidery is the art of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle and thread and/or yarn. It can be very simple or incredibly intricate and is limited only by your skill and imagination. For some of our more advanced students - Cross Stitch Learn the concepts of designing, reading manufactured patterns, cutting patterns, and machine sewing. Students will learn basic textile information to apply which fabric will work best with each project. |
